PONY RIDES $6.00 Cash (ATM available) - Saturday & Sunday

PICK YOUR OWN HONEY CRISP APPLES will start Saturday, September 23rd at 9am. They will be available on a first come, first served basis.

Listen to a talk at 2:30 on Saturday & Sunday by Lindsey Drought from Droughtville Farms on ENDANGERED FARM ANIMALS. Lindsey is a member of the American Livestock Breeders Conservancy (The Livestock Conservancy) and she owns and breeds endangered geese, ducks and chickens.

PAINT a Farm Animal Ornament $1.00 - All Weekend Long

MEET MIKAYLA from 10am to 2pm on Saturday & Sunday - A local 4-H member who raises poultry. Also learn about the 4-H program and meet some of her birds and hold and pet her favorite chickens if you'd like.

POULTRY ZOO - See some of our chickens, ducks and geese that live in our poultry zoo during the orchard season.

We charge $8/person which includes a 1/2 peck bag for apple picking. We also have a group rate of $30 for a group of 4 - this includes 4 - 1/2 peck bags. Fee includes access to the orchard, kids play area and poultry zoo. Kids 4 & under are "Free" - no bag is required. A limited amount of picnic tables are available if you'd like to bring lunch.

SUNFLOWERS - more sunflowers are expected to bloom. We will open the Sunflower Picking Patch at 9am for first come, first served picking.

PRE-PICKED APPLES - Including Honeycrisp, Gala, Zestar, Mollies & McIntosh

And of course there will be Fresh Cider and goodies in our store as usual. Bring a blanket and picnic lunch if you'd like - and enjoy our orchard.

During the 4th annual FREE HONEY TASTING EVENT at Old Homestead - several varieties of RAW Wisconsin Honey will be available to taste test. These include Raw Honey from our Hives, plus Locust, Basswood, Buckwheat, Wildflower, Cranberry & Clover. We will also have two Florida honey's available ... Orange Blossom and Tupelo. (These are not flavored honey, but rather Raw Honey that is produced based on the blossoms near the Hives). Stop by and sample the unique flavor differences in the honeys.

Honey Tasting will be Indoors (Rain or Shine!)

Honey variety packs, honey sticks, jars and honey bears will be available for purchase. Come and taste "natures nectar" at the orchard store! We will also have Bee Pollen, Honey Comb, Creamed Honey and more available.

Lindsey from Droughtville Farms is our resident beekeeper & we be available to answer any bee questions you may have! She has over 5 years of bee keeping experience and is the President Elect of the local Beekeepers Club (Racine Kenosha Beekeepers Association Page). Lindsey has put on several beekeeping workshops through the UW Extension.

Our kiddie play area, poultry zoo, antique shop and more will be open during this event.

Can't make it to the Pumpkin Throwing Contest? We will have Kids Activities and Pumpkin Games all weekend including Pumpkin Golf, Pumpkin Ring Toss and Pumpkin Bean Bag Toss!

We'll also have a Kids Craft Table with Pumpkin Painting.

We will have over 15 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds that will be available for sale as well! All are grown and hand-picked here at Old Homestead without the use of herbicides.
